SHOCKING: Young Woman Killed By iPhone

The relatives of a 23-year-old woman from northwest China's Xinjiang
Uygur Autonomous Region have claimed that the woman died after being
electrocuted while using her iPhone.

The older sister of victim Ma Ailun said Saturday on Sina
Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, that Ma was
electrocuted while trying to answer a call on her iPhone
while the device was charging.

Ma Ailun bought the iPhone in December at an official Apple
store and was using the original charger to recharge the
phone when the incident occurred, her sister said.

Ma, who was planning her wedding on August 8, fell to the
floor when making a call with her iPhone 5, which was
being recharged at the time, Ma's sister said on her
microblog account.

"I want to warn everyone else not to make phone calls
when your mobile phone is recharging," she tweeted.

The sister's tweet was reposted more than 3,000 times. And
the microblogging site was flooded with posts urging fellow
users not to make calls while charging their phones.
"I hope that Apple Inc. can give us an explanation," her post
reads.

Ma's father, Ma Guanghui, confirmed that his daughter was
electrocuted, adding that her body showed signs of
electrocution.

Ma, a resident of Xinjiang's city of Changji, was previously
employed as a flight attendant at China Southern Airlines,
although she recently quit her job.
Local police confirmed that Ma did die of electrocution, but
they have yet to verify if her phone was involved in the
incident.
Ma's sister said via Sina Weibo that she hopes to seek justice
from Apple.

Apple said commented on the situation: "We are deeply
saddened to learn of this tragic incident and offer our
condolences to the … family. We will fully investigate and
co-operate with authorities in this matter."

Local police said they are continuing to investigate the case.
Experts said mobile phones have a low output of only 3 to 5
volts, which isn't enough to harm the human body.

People will feel an electric shock at about 36 volts. "However,
if the charger or the circuit has a problem, such as a broken
wire, it can lead to a shock of 220 volts," a senior physics
teacher at a Nanjing high school was quoted as saying in a
media report.
Xu Xuelu, an expert with the Nanjing Appliance Repairing
Association, recommended people avoid making calls with
their mobile phone while it is being recharged.

In 2010, a man in northeast China was killed by an electric
shock when making a phone call with a handset that was
being recharged with an unauthorized charger, according to
the China Consumers Association.

WOW!! Check out the picture below! Michelle Obama
shared the picture on her instagram page recently..

US first lady, Michelle Obama posted the black-and-white
picture of her and the president in their earlier years.

" Barack and Michelle. #ThrowbackThursday #TBT

PHOTO: Rihanna Flashes Diamond Grill (and Cle*vage!)--Take a Look!

Lemme see your grill, girl!

Rihanna went from Star Wars to ghetto fab in one of her most
recent Instagram shots, when she flashed a diamond mouthpiece, a
sexy body chain and some cleavage at the same damn time.

"I'm an outlaw bitch!!" the singer wrote.

RiRi's selfie (taken from an upward angle, of course) cut off the
singer's top half of her face to focus on her red lips and mouth bling
while also showing off a body chain—that fell into the curves of her
body underneath her white crop top, accentuating her cleavage—
and one hell of an arm party.

Although the star is wearing minimal clothing in this shot, the
Barbados beauty was definitely more covered up than her last OMG-
worthy photo post.

WICKEDNESS: Woman Burns 7-yr-old Stepson’s Hand On A Stove

A woman identified as Mrs Aminot Otun has been arrested
by the Lagos State Police Command for roasting the right
hand of her seven-year-old step-son, Awwal Otun.

Awwal's hand was allegedly roasted for adding drops of
liquid disinfectant to his bath water.

According to Ngozi Ekwerike-Okoro, President, Child to Child
Network, a Non-governmental Organisation, NGO, a
distressed call from one of Otun's neighbours at 59, Suenu
Street, Surulere, Lagos saved Awwal's life.

Awwal was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital at Gbaja
where another drama ensued as the doctor on duty refused
to treat or admit the boy despite pleas that the hospital was
built purposely for mothers and children in the state.
Awwal was later taken to a nearby private hospital for
treatment and he is currently at Juvenile Welfare Centre of
Alakara Police Station.

According to his teachers, Awwal, a Primary One pupil,
should not be allowed to go back to his step-mother
because he always went back to school with bruises.
Neighbours who pleaded anonymity said that had been the
normal punishment for the boy's mistakes.

According to Ekwerike-Okoro, "On July 11, 2013, Awwal was
rushed to the Randle General Hospital, Mother and Child
Centre, Gbaja, at about 6:30pm after a distress call from
neighbours.

"He sustained serious injuries from fire burns inflicted on
him by the step-mother who is now in police custody.

"At the hospital, we requested to see the welfare officer who
we were told had closed for the day but after narrating our
mission to one of the staff she referred us to the chief
matron. The chief matron issued an emergency card to the
boy and directed him to see the doctor.

"The doctor, however, refused to attend to the boy, because
according to her, the hospital did not have enough space to
accommodate the boy, as he would need admission for
intensive care.

"We pleaded with the doctor to at least administer some first
aid on the boy but she refused. We went back to the chief
matron who told us after consulting with the doctor that
Surulere General Hospital (Mother and Child Centre) does not
have the facility to deal with such cases. They said our best
chance would be to go to Ikeja General Hospital.

"We eventually left in disappointment and went to a private
hospital in Mushin, close to the juvenile centre, where he got
immediate attention and was treated free of charge.

The boy said he added small quantity of Izal disinfectant to
his bath water and his step mother got angry and put his
hand on a burning stove since Sunday and he was not taken
to hospital till Thursday when neighbours called the Lagos
State Child Protection Network who mobilised the JWC
Alakara to rescue him. [Vanguard]

Doctor Diagnoses Woman With ‘Ghetto Booty’

They don't teach terminology like this in medical school.

Terry Ragland, a woman in Tennessee, was incensed after
her doctor, Timothy Sweo, diagnosed the source of her
severe lower back pain as "ghetto booty."

"I think I blacked out after he said ghetto booty. I think my
mind was just stuck on the phrase because I couldn't believe
he said that," said Ragland, 55, in an interview with area
news outlet WREG.

Dr. Sweo later sent Ragland a letter apologizing for his use of
the term, explaining it was an attempt to translate the
diagnosis into something "less technical." Reached for
comment by WREG, Sweo clarified: "What I was trying to
explain to that patient is that she has lumbar lordosis, which
is a fancy name for the curve of the lower spine that makes
the buttocks protrude more. In trying to explain that I said
that she had ghetto booty." He added that he understood
why her feelings had been hurt.

The National Institute of Health defines lumbar lordosis as an
"inward curve of the lumbar spine (just above the
buttocks)." The site lists "swayback" as an alternative name
for lordosis.

Per Dr. Sweo's website, he has more than 12 years of
experience in orthopedics.
Ragland has filed a complaint with the Tennessee
Department of Health, which will conduct an investigation to
determine if Dr. Sweo should be disciplined.

Happy 23rd Birthday to Wizkid

Born, July 16th 1990. This talented Nigerian artiste turns 23
today.

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun a.k.a Wizkid is a talented
singer, songwriter and performer. He kicked off his
singing career at the early age of 11 when he
recorded his first song with one of Nigeria's
celebrated music icons, OJB Jezreel. He went on to
record a 7-track album, which he released in his
church in Lagos, under the name of Lil' Prinz; this
was just a stint that earned him a remarkable deal of
encouragement and recognition from family, his
church and other artistes.
Years later in 2006, with a new stage name, and a
passion for making music and God-given talent,
Wizkid got back into the studio to hone his craft. He
continued to develop as a Singer and Songwriter by
working under some of Nigeria's biggest Musical

years his talent as a Singer and Songwriter became
evident and it resulted in Wiz being prominently
featured alongside some of the biggest Artistes in
Nigeria's Music Industry to much critical and
commercial acclaim.
2009 would prove to be Wizkid's break-out year, as
his collaboration with M.I on "Fast Money, Fast
Cars" on the Talk About It album drew major
attention to his distinct voice, singing style and
penchant for great songwriting. He went on to
feature on Kel's "Turn by Turn", the Barcelos radio
jingle and many other high profile projects. He also
got signed to Banky W's Empire Mates
Entertainment, and featured prominently on Banky's
"The W Experience" album.
At the age of 20, this extremely talented and
charming young man had already achieved so
much, thanks to his drive and focus for turning his
life's experiences into incredible music. In 2010, he
released his first singles, "Holla at your Boy", "Gidi

there was the hit song, "Tease Me" which was
just a studio freestyle that got leaked online and

NA BII FORCE: Woman Dies While Trying To Swim In Big Ocean

article-2363941-1AD2ED70000005DC-151_306x423Friends of a British woman who died swimming the English Channel for charity soon realised something had gone wrong when her online progress tracker stopped updating.
Susan Taylor, 34, collapsed suddenly as she neared the end of her 21-mile swim yesterday.
Mrs Taylor, from Barwell, Leicestershire, was airlifted to a French hospital where she died.

Friends were following her progress on her Facebook and leaving encouraging comments for her support team to pass on when they noticed the tracker had paused.
About 6pm, one friend wrote: ‘The track has had a blip I hope…’ before adding: ‘Now I am concerned. Two points showing travel as fast as a boat… Oh Susan I do hope everything is ok.’
An hour later, another added: ‘Getting very nervous now, hope Susan is OK.’
Concerned friends added messages and continued to show support for Mrs Taylor – nicknamed ‘Nemo’ after the Disney Pixar character – while pleading for information.
‘Hope all is ok??? Tracker has stopped!!! Susan you are a star xxx,’ one wrote while another added: ‘Can’t get update but you are an amazing athlete & fund-raiser no matter what. Good on you Susan x x’
Mrs Taylor, whose husband Stephen, 43, was on the support boat, was just a mile from the coast of France when she became ill on Sunday afternoon.
A French Navy helicopter flew her to hospital in Boulogne-sur-Mer but she was declared dead at around 7pm.
She had set off from the UK in the early hours of Sunday morning and was raising money for Diabetes UK and the Rainbows Children’s Hospice in Loughborough.
Mrs Taylor, 34, had been an ambassador for the Rainbows Children’s Hospice for two years
Mrs Taylor, ran her own accountancy firm, was swimming alongside a support boat and had temporarily given up work to train for the gruelling swim across one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world.
But as she entered Wissant Bay, near Cap Gris-Nez, she got into ‘serious difficulty’, said a French police source.
Mrs Taylor’s support crew, which included her paramedic brother, requested a defibrillator by radio, and the French Navy evacuated her to hospital in Boulogne.
Speaking at the family home today, Mrs Taylor’s father, 68-year-old Arthur Wright, said: ‘I’m devastated. I’ve lost the best person in the world. She was just wonderful.’
Mr Wright said his daughter had also done wing-walking and a parachute jump, and was a qualified rally driver.
‘She was certainly not a boring accountant,’ he said.
Mr Wright revealed that his paramedic son David battled to save her life.
‘David was with her and he was the paramedic, he tried to help.
‘He pulled her on to the boat.’
Also on the boat were her coach, who had trained her since she was eight years old, and a support swimmer.
Mr Wright said he had been told the accident happened during the last leg of the swim.
‘She had swum 30 miles and she got to the last part and that’s when it happened. That’s as much as I know.
‘They got her out the water and put her on the boat.’
The family had celebrated Mrs Taylor’s birthday and her brother’s birthday at a restaurant last Thursday, he said.
He last saw his daughter on Friday night.
‘I saw her to say I hope it goes well and gave her a kiss.’During the swim Ms Taylor's support team posted pictures of her progress on Facebook friends and asked for messages to help cheer her onDuring the swim Ms Taylor’s support team posted pictures of her progress on Facebook friends and asked for messages to help cheer her on
Today, her brother wrote on the Facebook page: ‘Whilst attempting to swim the English Channel yesterday my sister, Susan collapsed suddenly in the water.
‘She was immediately recovered from the water and treated on the support boat. She was then air lifted by helicopter to a hospital in Boulogne.
‘Susan tragically passed away. Thank you for your messages of support.
‘If you would like to leave a sign of respect please feel free to donate to her fund raising page.’
As news of her death spread, wellwishers began to give money in Mrs Taylor’s memory in addition to the £2,700 she had already raised.
More than £8,000 has been given on her Virgin Money Giving page for Rainbows, which relies almost entirely on donations, and Diabetes UK.
Neighbours of Mrs Taylor paid tribute to her today in the quiet cul-de-sac where she lived with her electrician husband.
David Kitto, 63, said she was a ‘truly lovely girl’ who was well known for her swimming and charity work.
Describing her training, which she used to do at nearby Hinckley Leisure Centre, Stoney Stanton Lakes, and Bosworth Water Park, he said she was not anxious about the swim.

‘She was very, very confident,’ he said.
‘She was a confident person anyway. She had a real presence about her. She was not a shrinking violet but nor was she hogging the front pages all the time.
‘She was a very good swimmer; you used to see her going up and down in the fast lane at the pool and all the staff there knew her and got to know what she was doing.
‘I’m just gobsmacked. She was a truly lovely girl and this is an absolute tragedy.’
Mr Kitto said Mrs Taylor, who went to junior school with his daughter, and her husband had lived in Barwell for more than ten years and married around six years ago.
Many of their neighbours were invited to their evening wedding reception at Ashby Road Sports Club.
Neighbours said Mrs Taylor was very sporty and used to do a lot of kayaking and mountain biking.
They also thought she and her husband had been involved in rally car driving for a period of time.
Geoff Ellis, Rainbows chief executive, said: ‘Susan was a wonderful woman who would do anything for anybody.
Ms Taylor's progress team posted this picture during her swim, writing: 'Easy way versus the hard way!!!!! Susan definitely deserves the easy way next time!!! She's doing fab :)'

‘She has been a much loved ambassador at Rainbows for over two years, helping out at events and tirelessly fundraising for us.
‘She was more than an ambassador; she was part of the Rainbows family.
‘Susan was totally dedicated to Rainbows, even taking time off from her career to devote more efforts to her fundraising.
‘She was really looking forward to taking part in her challenge and we are all so proud of what she achieved.
‘All of the children, young people, families, staff and volunteers at Rainbows are devastated and our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
Ms Taylor, from Barwell, Leicestershire, ran her own accountancy firm and had temporarily given up work to train for the swim
‘She will be sadly missed.’
On her Virgin Money Giving fundraising page Mrs Taylor said she was taking on a challenge ‘tougher than Everest’.
She said: ‘I am self funding the swim so every penny donated will go to Rainbows and the amazing work they do.
‘Less than 1,000 people have completed the 21-mile cross-Channel swim, whereas over 3,000 have conquered the world’s tallest mountain.
‘Only one in ten people who train for the channel actually complete it.
‘As part of the challenge you are not allowed to wear anything that aids buoyancy or warmth.
‘However, I will be accompanied by a support boat to ensure I stay out of trouble.’
Mrs Taylor had set off at about 1am on Sunday from Samphire Hoe near Dover and was covered in goose fat in expectation of a swim of around 15 hours.
It was an extremely hot day with the water temperature at 15C.
Last year, Mrs Taylor told the Leicester Mercury she would be facing her childhood fear of jellyfish when she swam in a relay team of six across the Channel.
She trained for the challenge in open water at lakes in Market Bosworth and Six Hills in Leicestershire, with her husband Stephen kayaking beside her, the report said.
Before her solo attempt she told the paper that her training had been delayed a little by a shoulder injury and that she had put herself ‘through hell’ training over the last year.

Ms Taylor set off from Samphire Hoe, near Dover, at 1am on Sunday morning and was airlifted by the French navy near Cap Gris-Nez 16 hours later
The report said Mrs Taylor would be swimming in indoor pools and the Water Trust lakes at Market Bosworth for up to eight hours non-stop as part of her final training sessions.
She said: ‘The injury won’t put me back too much and I plan to be back in the lake in a few weeks’ time.
‘It’s a lot different in the Channel, though. You’ve got the waves and the salt water and it will be about twice as far as I’ve ever swum before.’
Before the swim, Mrs Taylor had told the Hinckley Times: ‘I used to be with the St John Ambulance and I met a woman who said to me “you’ll swim the Channel one day”’.
Kevin Murphy, secretary of the Channel Swimming and Piloting Federation, which authorises attempts to cross the water, said: ‘It is incredibly sad. People in our organisation knew her.
‘She had been our friend on the beach training in Dover and everyone’s cut up about it because she was such a lovely, nice lady.’
British officials had authorised a number of charity swimmers to cross the Channel on Sunday.
France does not allow such swims to start from its own side of the Channel because of the dangers posed by shipping, as well as dangerous currents and changing weather conditions.
Mr Murphy said: ‘We require medicals signed by a doctor and we both require swims of at least six hours before we will register anyone to swim the Channel.

‘It’s an extreme sport. We know it’s an extreme sport but its safety record is second to none.’
Until yesterday, only seven people had died since Captain Matthew Webb made the first unassisted swim across the Strait of Dover in 1875.
The last swimmer to die before Mrs Taylor was Paraic Casey, a 45-year-old member of the Sandycove Swimming Club in Cork, Ireland, almost exactly a year ago, on July 21 2012.
Like Ms Taylor, Mr Casey became ill less than a mile from the French coast, and all attempts to resuscitate him failed.
A friend of Mrs Taylor, who asked not to be named, said today: ‘We are devastated by Susan’s death. She was a wonderful person who was determined to swim the Channel so as to help others.’

Big P0*N-Er Africa: Nigerian BBA Rep Beverly Osu Gets Fingered By South African Angelo

Angelo+fingering+beverly.jpg-701303                                                                                    Anyways, the Nigerian rep in the BBA house decided to continue from where she stopped last weekend and almost went all the way with the South African housemate Angelo.
As usual, we would be quick to blame it on the alcohol; Beverly had a lot to drink and probably lost total control but that didn’t stop her from knowing where the bedroom was. She hopped in bed with fellow housemate Angelo and things got a little nasty, hands and lips where everywhere.
To make matters even worse, fellow housemates Pokello and Elikem were settled in and peacefully watching as Beverly and Angelo handled their nasty business.
Oh yeah……………Beverly got fingered and was wailing like a @#$@@#$#@.Photo+of+Angelo+fingering+beverly.jpg-703431bedrrom

Wole Soyinka Reveals His Biggest Secret

For decades, Prof. Wole Soyinka has kept a secret to
himself, his grade when he left University College,
Ibadan.

But yesterday, the Nobel Laureate disclosed that contrary to
insinuations, he graduated with a Second Class Upper and
not Third Class as widely believed.
Soyinka broke his silence when he hosted secondary school
students from across the country who were in Abeokuta,
Ogun State to take part in this year's "Open Doors Series"
project, an international cultural exchange programme to
mark his 79th birthday.

According to Soyinka, he had kept silent on the matter over
the years, but decided to open up for the sake of the children
as mark of respect for them. The event, tagged: "Memoirs of
our future," was organized by a Lagos-based multimedia
company, Zmirage and the state government.

Man Who Claimed To Have Robbed Bank So He Could Give Money To The Poor Jailed for 6 Years

Australian Corey Donaldson attempted to liken himself to Robin Hood,
saying he was justified in taking more than
$140,000 (£92,500) last December because he passed on
most of the cash to people who needed it.

"You haven't lived until you have served others in such a
way that they can never pay you back," he told the court.

The jury did not agree, however, and federal judge Alan B
Johnson sentenced the 40-year-old to serve 70 months for
the bank robbery.

Donaldson was arrested in January in Utah, where officers
recovered more than $30,000, including $11,000 stuffed into
envelopes and addressed to his relatives.

The would-be Prince of Thieves addressed the judge for
more than an hour on Thursday.
He said he moved to America after marrying a US citizen
and stayed, sometimes without a home, after a divorce.

Donaldson argued that banks racked up record profits while
forcing people into homelessness through foreclosures.

He said his father lost the family home in Australia in a bank
default years ago and once considered suicide as a means of
providing for 10 children from life insurance proceeds.

But prosecutor Todd Shugart emphasised that Donaldson
was preparing to ship money to his family overseas.

"His claim of carrying out this act to benefit the poor is
simply disingenuous," he said.

The judge agreed, saying the bank robbery was "fuelled by
deceit". He pointed out that Donaldson had already written to
publishers trying to drum up interest in a book about the
robbery.

The Australian is likely to be deported after his prison term.

Baby Born With Rosary Round Her Neck In Niger (PHOTO)

Thousands of people trooped to a private maternity
home in Kotaworo area of Bida, in Niger state on
Sunday to catch a glimpse of a baby girl said to have
been delivered with a Muslim prayer Rosary
(Tasabih) on her neck.

The middle aged mother of the baby, Adijat was said to
have been rushed to a local midwife home near the
residence of Pa Mohammed Bello Masaba, the Polygamist at
about 2 pm on Sunday and after minutes of labour, she was
delivered of the baby.

According the owner of the local maternity home, Alhaji
Abubakar Baiwa Shasha who took delivery of the baby, "I
was shocked when in the course of the delivery the baby
came with a Chisbih on her neck. The baby was born with a
black rosary at delivery point."
"But I was surprised when after a while the rosary turned to
white to the amazement of the few people around."

As soon as the news spread round the town, thousands
trooped to the the maternity home shouting "Allahu Akibar;
Allahu Akibar (God is Great) as they scrambled to see and
touch the baby. "
Efforts to get the father of the baby, Isah, a native of Loma in
Kwara State were fruitless as he refused to talk to our
Correspondent.

An Islamic scholar, Malam Idiris Ndajiwo said the delivery of
the baby with the mysterious rosary "showed the greatness
of Allah. The delivery of the baby today, in this town and
this area (Kutaworo) is a big thing to us Muslims. This
actually goes to show that Allah is in control of what
happens to any one and in the whole world."

Another well wisher and the Personal Assistant to popular
