Shocking: Teenager, 15, Admits Trying to Rape 88-year-old Woman

A 15-year-old boy who appeared before the Perth Children's Court has
pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and two
counts of aggravated attempted sexual penetration of an88-year-old
woman.


The teenager who was not named because he is underage attacked the
woman in her home in the Great Southern, Australia.


The woman had to be taken to the hospital afterwards. Hearing the
details in court today, the teenager was said to have been crying,
using his T-shirt to wipe away tears.


The Australian News reports:
On April 26, the 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons,
went into the home of the elderly woman, stole from her, assaultedher
and attempted to sexually penetrate her.


The woman required hospital treatment after the ordeal.
Five other charges were dropped because theydoubled up on those the
teenager had pleaded to, or were "not in the public interest" to
continue.


The boy will be sentenced on August 23.
