Boy Dies After Hugo Boss Shop Mirror Falls

A four-year-old boy has died after he was hit by a falling mirror at a
designer outlet store.
The youngster suffered serious head injuries in the accident, which
happened in the Hugo Boss store at Bicester Village, a designer outlet
centre in Oxfordshire.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, but died four days later.
Detective Inspector Steve Duffy, investigating officer at Thames
Valley Police, said: "We are currently investigating the circumstances
of this boy's death and we would ask anyonewho was in the Hugo Boss
storeat around 8.40pm on Tuesday tocontact us as a matter of urgency.
"Our thoughts are with the family at this time."
A notice on the Bicester Village website said the store was"temporarily closed".
A spokesman for Hugo Boss said: "Everyone is devastated by this tragic
accident and we would like to extend our deepest condolences and
sympathies to his family. All of our thoughts are with them at this
time.
"We will assist the authorities in any way with an investigation into
the accident."
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive said that they were
not involved in the investigation into the death as shops are the
responsibility of local authority environmental health departments.
Bicester Village has around 130 luxury fashion, homeware storesand restaurants.
Other shops include Armani, Prada, Burberry and Calvin Klein
