Carroll Completes His Move To West Ham in a Club Record Deal.

Andy Carroll has completed his move from Liverpool to West Ham United
after servingthe Hammers for one year on loan.
The England striker has signeda six-year club record contractwith West
Ham. The 24-year-old cost Liverpool £35m from Newcastle United, which
is a transfer record for an English player.
Carroll moved to Anfield in January 2011 on a transfer deadline day,
after scoring 33 goals in 91 appearances for the Magpies but had an
injuryravaged stint with the Merseyside club, suffering both hamstring
and knee injuries in his first season at the club.
Brendan Rodgers loaned him out to West Ham in 2012, where he only made
24 appearances scoring 7 goals and picked up a heel injury towards the
end of last season.
West Ham United have not disclosed the fee for the transfer but it is
believed to be in the region of £15m, a club record.
"Since the end of last season I've had a lot of time to think,I've
missed it and that's why I'm back," Carroll said of his new contract.
"It's fantastic for me to be here. I really enjoyed last season, and
that shows in me coming back and making it permanent."
Liverpool released a statementon the club's website, which read:
"Liverpool Football Club have confirmed that Andy Carroll has
completed a permanent transfer to West Ham United.
"Everybody at Liverpool FC would like to wish Andy all the best for the future."
Carroll has 9 caps for the 'Three Lions' and has scored twice since
making his international debut in 2010.
