A vessel carrying imported gasoline has exploded in Lagos killing and
injuring uncertain number of people according to Nigeria's National
Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
The explosion occurred around 1 am Nigerian time at the Atlas Cove
jetty in Apapa area of Lagos. The raging fire was still ongoing as at
10 AM as firefighters and the NNOPC battle to shut down pipes at the
jetty.
