Maryland teacher having sex with family dog

Stephanie Mikles, a Maryland special needs teacher, was arrested after allegedly having sex with her family dog, memorialized in photos and onvideo, according to a May 30, 2013 New York Daily News report. The Daily News writes that police say Mikles, 45, engaged in a number of sex acts with the dog for about 30 days in August 2008. She was arrested following a search of her home by child advocacy officers of Harford County regarding an unrelated matter, reports the Daily News. The agency reportedly found the photos and video of the alleged bestiality involving Mikles. The teacher has been charged with unnatural or perverted sexual practice. The indictment against her is not detailed, but says she had "sexual intercourse with a dog," reports ABC 2 . Mikles denies the charge, but ison administrative leave without pay from her job with the Harford County School District pending the outcome of the matter. If found guilty, she could serve up to 10 years in prison and may owe a$1,000 fine. Her attorney told ABC 2 she is fighting the charge and is moving to dismiss the case. Mikles has been released from jail on $5,000 bond. ABC 2 reports the dog is still living with the family.
